Our institutional clients have really led the way on sustainability issues; we have responded and are transforming all aspects of our practice as a result.
We frequently collaborate with architects and other professionals in the design of educational facilities, spanning primary and secondary schools, to colleges, universities and museums. Our institutional clients include public, private and non-profit entities, encompassing a range of project types and budgets. We design with the end user in mind, recognizing the unique needs and function of each facility. Increasingly, educational facilities are being utilized by the general public, which creates a need to design for greater use over an extended period of time.
Our focus is on the supporting infrastructure-access, parking, pedestrian circulation, utilities, stormwater management, recreational facilities - that ensure a high quality environment conducive to learning. We incorporate sustainable site design strategies in our work as simply good practice, an approach that frequently aligns with the long-term stewardship responsibilities of our clients.
