Dave has been with BSC since 1987, when he joined the firm as a project director responsible for private sector land development projects, and during his tenure he has served in a variety of general management and project management roles. Dave is currently principal-in-charge of the civil engineering and survey groups in our Boston office, and remains actively involved with many of BSC's more complex projects. Dave is adept at building multidisciplinary teams, using both in-house staff and external consultant partners, to build strong technical teams with the experiences and abilities needed to develop effective and sustainable solutions for our clients. With his depth of experience in a wide variety of project types, Dave frequently advises clients on strategies to navigate complex permitting and regulatory challenges.
Prior to joining BSC Dave had more than ten years of overseas experience in land planning, site design and infrastructure development. This included work in his native Ireland as well as assignments in West Africa and the Philippines where he worked on infrastructure improvement projects ranging from small rural water supply to major urban redevelopment projects.
Dave is a registered Professional Engineer in Massachusetts, holds an MBA from Boston University and a BA in Mathematics and Engineering from Trinity College, Dublin University, Ireland. Dave serves on the Board of Directors of The Massachusetts Alliance for Economic Development (MassEcon) which is a private,
non-profit partnership of business, industry leaders, and government dedicated to the economic growth of Massachusetts.
