Independent Inspector Services for Northeast Utilities - Connecticut

BSC Group is providing independent environmental inspection services on behalf of the Connecticut Siting Council for several new electric transmission line construction and reconstruction projects along the Northeast Utilities system. These projects have afforded work in approximately 25 Connecticut municipalities and included inspection of underground and overhead line installation, construction of transition and switching stations, and expansion of substations.

 BSC Group is emphasizing strategic communication with the client, the contractor and representatives of the affected municipalities. Additionally, our inspection staff continually emphasizes:

• Achieving comprehensive Erosion and Sediment Control Plan compliance
• Compliance with stream channel encroachment line and ACOE programmatic general permits
• Compliance with Storm Water Pollution Control Plans and NPDES
• Sensitivity to rare and endangered species

• Compliance with invasive species management plans
