Intel Campus Expansion - Hudson, MA

BSC Group has provided ongoing planning and design for Intel’s Hudson campus for more than a decade. As Intel sought to expand its facilities on its 150-acre campus, BSC Group performed site analysis and prepared a campus master plan to guide the expansion of the campus over time. Components of the plan included additional parking, utility capacity, and improvement stormwater management to support the programmed expansion of the existing 1.3 million square feet of research, manufacturing and office space.

Since developing the initial plan, BSC has worked on a variety of projects to support Intel’s operations and expansion. These projects have included construction of a new manufacturing building and infrastructure upgrades to support expansion of existing facilities. BSC’s role was to coordinate state and local permitting and approvals and prepare plans and supporting documentation to address the requirements of the town’s Planning Board and Conservation Commission.

• Innovative Stormwater Management  - BSC Group designed a stormwater retention/recharge/detention system to treat stormwater, while improving water quality and dry weather flows to the Assabet River.
  
• Comprehensive Design Services – As part of BSC’s ongoing work on the Intel campus, BSC has provided a variety of engineering, landscape architect, and permitting services. Representative examples include the design of a temporary 1,000-space parking area for 1,000 construction workers, preparation of utility relocation plans, and community outreach to town boards and abutters. BSC also designed traffic management plans to maintain truck and shipping access to the site, while also accommodating employee parking and safe pedestrian access to the parking area.
