

Richard joined BSC in 1987, after an extensive career in general management, finance and strategic planning within the publishing, utility, freight railroad and consulting industries. While working with a quasi-Federal agency, he was heavily involved in designing the original capital structure for the newly formed Conrail and its initial $2.1 billion financing.
As the President of BSC Companies, Richard is responsible for the operational and financial management of the BSC Group and its affiliates. Richard has led the growth of the firm in terms of revenue, acquisitions and entry into new geographic regions. He chairs the Executive Committee, with responsibility for setting the strategic agenda for the firm.
Richard holds a BA degree from Columbia Union College and an MBA from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Management. He leads the BSC Group with a “hands on” approach and promotes an open, communicative and transparent management style within the firm. Richard enjoys reading in the humanities, enjoys travel and is an astute observer of technology trends and its impact on our lives.
