BSC’s president and chief executive officer, Sean O’Brien participated in a recent Bisnow panel discussion tackling the issue of transportation infrastructure and its effect on the private land development market.

Webb of Kendall Square Association.

Driving the discussion was the need to improve transportation and housing resources to maintain today’s thriving workforce and its contributions to the local economy. Transit oriented development was identified an an important initiative that would increase local housing stock while reducing traffic congestion.

Secretary Pollack commented, “When I look at the world, the biggest threat to the economy of Greater Boston is housing. We are not going to be able to continue the great prosperity we’ve seen in Greater Boston unless we can figure out how to build housing, and as much of that as possible near transit.”
