BSC Group Announces Stephen Lindsay as Bat Survey & Regulatory Services Manager

BSC Group is pleased to announce that Stephen Lindsay is stepping into the role of Bat Survey & Regulatory Services Manager, effective January 2026.

A trusted leader within our ecological services team, Stephen brings over 13 years of experience and a long track record of technical excellence to this new position.

Stephen leads BSC’s bat survey and regulatory services program and will continue to direct the delivery of summer presence-absence surveys, desktop analyses, and permitting support for clients across the region.

Since beginning his work with bats in 2013, he has developed specialized expertise in bat acoustics, survey design, and manual call analysis. His high technical standards and extensive field experience help ensure BSC delivers clear, reliable, and defensible findings on complex projects.

With rising client demand and rapidly growing acoustic datasets, Stephen has also been instrumental in advancing data management and process improvements. His focus on streamlining workflows and strengthening how we manage large volumes of bat data positions the firm to scale this work efficiently and consistently.

As Bat Survey & Regulatory Services Manager, Stephen will lead the continued growth of BSC Group’s bat practice, with priorities that include enhancing survey quality, supporting regulatory success, mentoring team members, and building scalable systems aligned with evolving client and agency needs.

Stephen’s transition into this role reflects both his depth of expertise and the increased importance of bat services within our practice. We look forward to the impact his leadership will continue to drive for our clients, our team, and the field.
