BSC and the City of Worcester Celebrate Blackstone Gateway Park at Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Congratulations to the City of Worcester who recently celebrated the grand opening of the newly-constructed and highly anticipated Blackstone Gateway Park at a ribbon cutting ceremony last week. The event, attended by Lt. Governor Karyn Polito and City officials, invited guests to tour the park, learn about the ecology, and enjoy demonstrations from local groups.

BSC Group has worked with the City of Worcester, Greater Worcester Land Trust, and the Quinsigamond Village Association over the past decade to plan, fund, permit, design and administer the construction of this riverfront park. The new city park, nestled in the Quinsigamond Village area of Worcester, includes nearly 3,000 linear-feet of accessible walking paths that include trails, overlooks, boardwalks, interpretive features, and ecological habitat amenities to support passive recreation, education activities, and nature observation.

Special recognition goes to Casey-Lee Bastien, RLA who coordinated a park tour as part of the celebration. He has also spearheaded BSC’s volunteer activities to support park clean up.
