our neighbors, our communities, and our economy

New England's transportation network is central to the economic and social well-being of the entire region. Public agencies charged with maintaining and expanding our transportation system constantly face challenges associated with regional growth, increasing demand, and limited budgets, compounded by the requirement to maintain and improve our aging infrastructure. BSC regularly supports transportation agencies in meeting these needs, blending innovative technologies with pragmatic expertise to offer lasting, value-driven solutions that place safety at the forefront.

Integrating the talents of transportation planners; traffic, roadway, and structural engineers; environmental scientists; landscape architects; and land surveyors, BSC's transportation team has supported a spectrum of clients within the industry.

Notable examples include our work providing large-scale support for roadway design, stormwater improvements, bridge design, and land surveying projects for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT); roadway design and environmental services for the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT); bridge inspection, parking lot design and accessibility upgrades for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA); and land surveying services for Massport.

Fundamental to BSC's transportation practice is our commitment to providing access to persons with disabilities. We have been at the forefront of accessibility improvements for large-scale, systemwide initiatives undertaken by MassDOT and the MBTA, leveraging the latest technology to implement practical enhancements that directly benefit the traveling public.
