On February 12, BSC Group senior planner Russ Burke, AICP joined the City of Everett in an open forum to discuss the Lower Broadway Master Vision, the establishment of a Redevelopment Authority, and the concept of an Urban Renewal Plan with Everett residents. Russ presented facts and information on the concept of urban renewal and what it would mean for both the Lower Broadway neighborhood and the City as a whole. As noted in the Everett Independent, Mayor Carlo DeMaria was grateful for the participation, recognizing that the most important aspect of these visioning meetings is the participation of all residents and community groups.
