BSC Supports World Bee Day 2025

In honor of World Bee Day 2025, let’s rethink what it means to support pollinators, especially native bees.

With over 4,000 species in North America alone, including bumblebees, leafcutter bees, and sweat bees, native bees are responsible for much of the heavy lifting for pollination in our ecosystems.

At BSC, we’re designing urban landscapes that restore habitats and support pollinators. With thoughtful design and green infrastructure, even cities can be buzzing with possibility for pollinators to thrive.

Simple actions that make a big difference include:

  • Swap out grass with pollinator-friendly plants
  • Delay spring garden clean up
  • Leave dead wood and leaf litter
  • Plant high value native species
