Sean Ewald, PLS

Vice President, Team Lead - Geomatics

Leading one of New England’s largest land surveying practices, Sean’s work is distinguished by his ability to not only gather and document spatial data but to also apply it to practical uses. With a solid foundation in traditional surveying principles, he also has a strong interest in emerging technologies and pioneers their adaptation to the surveying profession, keeping BSC at the forefront of advanced survey methods including the use of drones and the application of three-dimensional modeling. Sean applies his expertise to a variety of challenging projects, from consecutive on-call contracts for large state agencies such as MassDOT and MBTA, to private land development projects in constrained urban areas.

Holding a BS in civil engineering from the University of Houston, Sean is a Professional Land Surveyor in Massachusetts. He is past president of the Massachusetts Association of Land Surveyors and was previously named Surveyor of the Year by the organization.
