BSC Group provided climate resiliency outreach for northern New England land trusts. Outreach efforts provided climate science and GIS expertise to guide land trusts as they incorporated climate resiliency into their strategic conservation plans.

BSC provided technical outreach on the use of the North Atlantic Landscape Conservation Collaborative’s Conservation Planning Atlas, hosted on the Data Basin platform, and The Nature Conservancy’s Resilient Mapping Tool, including the most recently updated datasets. These resiliency tools allowed users to identify existing areas of ecological resilience on the landscape in order to prioritize efforts to protect and support ecological resilience to climate change. Technical outreach on ecosystem carbon cycling, carbon conservation, and carbon storage was also provided, along with webinars that shared the climate resiliency planning process with other interested land trusts.
