SUASCO Natural Climate Solutions Project

The SuAsCo Natural Climate Solutions Project brought together Hudson, Framingham, and Natick to identify Nature-based Solutions (NbS) that support residents, ecosystems, and climate resilience, with a focus on Environmental Justice and Climate Vulnerable communities.

BSC led a team of consultants to identify opportunities for wetlands, floodplains, forests, and other ecosystems to enhance carbon sequestration and ecosystem services, support resilience planning, and provide recommendations for regulatory improvements.

The project included community engagement through stakeholder meetings, site walks, and NbS trainings, as well as the development of educational resources including a project website and data viewer, infographics, a StoryMap, and self-guided tours with interpretive signage and QR-code access to project information.
