At BSC, we believe that a strong workplace culture is built on respect and the ability for every employee to come as they are.
That means a workplace where employees don’t feel pressure to hide parts of who they are to fit in. A workplace where differences are treated as part of how better decisions get made.
Pride Month is an opportunity for us to reflect on how we build inclusion in our day-to-day work, and where we can continue to improve. It is also an invitation to have meaningful conversations about lived experiences, LGBTQ+ history, and how these things continue to shape our communities today. These conversations help deepen our understanding of our experiences and reinforce BSC’s shared culture: growth and learning, representation and inclusion, integrity and trust, innovation, and teamwork.
As we look ahead, BSC remains dedicated to building a workplace where inclusion is celebrated, voices are heard, and where everyone can succeed.
“If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse, and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality.”
Archbishop Desmond Tutu, South African Anglican cleric and human rights activist
