BSC Receives Two ASBA Distinguished National Awards

BSC Group ­­was honored by the American Sports Builders Association (ASBA) with two distinguished national awards, which were announced at the Association’s 2021 Technical Meeting in Orlando this past December. Our Glastonbury athletics design team, led by Jesse Harris, PLA, was recognized for the following projects:

Avon High School in Avon, CT, received the ASBA’s 2021 Distinguished Track and Field Award. Completed in the fall of 2019, the project involved the conversion of the stadium’s natural grass field to a synthetic turf field along with a new running track, field events and associated facility upgrades, new track events, pedestrian accessibility, storage and sports field, and pedestrian lighting.

Jonathan Law High School in Milford, CT, received the ASBA’s 2021 Distinguished Multi-Field Facility Award. Completed in spring of 2021, BSC provided design, permitting, and construction administration services for the conversion of existing natural grass baseball and softball fields to synthetic turf along with new dugouts, fencing, ball safety netting, and site electrical upgrades.
