The 1,116 gravesite expansion of the West Meadow Cemetery in Newington, CT was featured in the September 21, 2010 issue of the Hartford Courant. The expansion project was designed by BSC Group’s engineers and landscape architects.
The article highlighted key features of the project: the expansion of gravesites, the inclusion of cremation niches, and the creation of a special section for military veterans and their spouses. The article also noted the Town’s ability to complete the $425,000 project using funds earned through gravesite sales without accessing additional Town funding.
City Councilwoman Myra Cohen, who led the project on behalf of the Town of Newington, praised the combined efforts of BSC Group as designers and Paramount Construction and Birch Hill Landscaping as contractors.
