Acorn Park

BSC has transformed a parking lot into a space to serve both its users and the natural ecology of the riparian corridor it occupies. Located along the Little River, Acorn Park includes a field, trails, a pond, and a conservation area. The wetland ponds and islands provide habitat and visual interest as well as a strolling garden and a view from the offices while cleaning, cooling and aerating all of the stormwater produced by the adjacent industrial/office park. The open field, directly across from the café and dining terraces, provides space for informal active picnicking and passive recreation. The project also received a “GoGreen” award from Cambridge’s Department of Community Development.
