Wendall Cross Elementary School

BSC Group served as the civil engineering consultant to Friar Architects for the addition and renovation of Wendell Cross Elementary School in Waterbury, Connecticut.

BSC began with a comprehensive assessment of the 9.5-acre site and its exterior facilities to document existing conditions and support planning for the expanded school campus. The team then developed an integrated site design addressing civil engineering, landscape architecture, pedestrian circulation, student drop-off and pick-up, bus and vehicular access, parking, and site amenities.

Site programming and layout were coordinated to improve how students, staff, buses, and vehicles move through the campus while creating safe, accessible connections between the school and its surrounding outdoor spaces.
