BSC Group civil engineer Scott Turner was featured in the May 29 issue of the Boston Business Journal. In an article entitled, “Engineers Are Getting Involved Earlier in the Process,” Scott commented on many clients’ desire to work with a single design firm to streamline project development.
Citing the successful Hingham Shipyard redevelopment project, a multi-year planning and design effort currently under construction, Scott emphasized the importance of consulting a reputable engineer early in project planning to determine feasibility and financial viability.
“A project can certainly run smoother if you have a single point of contact and it just makes things easier logistically in terms of sharing files and tracking payments,” Scott is quoted in the article.
Also highlighted were the benefits of selecting an engineer with a sound understanding of local, regional, and state permitting requirements to help provide practical solutions for meeting regulatory requirements.
