BSC’s Water, Environment, & Community Solutions (WECS) group brings together community planning, water resources, environmental engineering, ecological restoration, climate resilience, and coastal services professionals to address interconnected needs while advancing their long-term goals.

That may mean reducing flood risk while improving public spaces, restoring coastal or natural systems while strengthening resilience, or planning for growth in a way that reflects both current constraints and future conditions. Communities, land trusts, and other organizations are often working toward something bigger: healthier environments, more resilient infrastructure, stronger neighborhoods, and places that can thrive over time. WECS is structured around those connections.

By bringing planning, science, modeling, and engineering together early, the team can evaluate environmental conditions, regulatory requirements, community priorities, and long-term resilience as part of one coordinated process. This helps clients understand the full picture, identify practical paths forward, and make better-informed decisions about where to invest.

WECS supports public and private clients across New England through work that includes flood mitigation, coastal restoration and shoreline management, stormwater and green infrastructure, natural resource assessment and permitting, ecological restoration, and community and regional planning.
