These two new groups elevate BSC's longstanding multidisciplinary approach — bringing together engineers, landscape architects, planners, environmental scientists, surveyors, and other specialists to solve complex challenges through collaboration and creativity.
Today's projects rarely fit within the boundaries of a single discipline. Whether shaping vibrant communities, advancing responsible development, restoring natural resources, or strengthening critical infrastructure, the best solutions emerge when diverse expertise is brought together from the very beginning. These new service groups embrace that philosophy, creating stronger alignment, deeper collaboration, and a more seamless experience for our clients.
Land Design & Development
LDD(opens in new tab) brings together the professionals who help transform ideas into dynamic places—from early planning and permitting through civil engineering, landscape architecture, site design, and project delivery. Through this integrated approach, LDD helps create thoughtful, resilient, and successful developments that balance functionality, sustainability, and community value.
Water, Environment, & Community Solutions
WECS integrates expertise in water resources(opens in new tab), environmental engineering(opens in new tab), ecological restoration, climate resilience(opens in new tab), coastal services(opens in new tab), and community planning(opens in new tab). Together, these disciplines help communities protect and restore natural resources, strengthen communities, and prepare for challenges related to climate extremes, aging infrastructure, land use, environmental contamination, and coastal impacts.
Communities and land managers rarely experience these challenges as separate issues — they often show up in the same conversations, as local leaders work to make long-term decisions with limited time, funding, and certainty. WECS brings planning, science, modeling, and engineering together earlier in the project to promote higher success rates and provide clarity to communities, clients, and stakeholders throughout the process.
