BSC Group has been selected by the City of Waltham to design improvements to the intersection of Lexington Street, Bacon Street and Totten Pond Road. The project will alleviate unsafe conditions at this signalized intersection by realigning the roadway to provide more room for turning vehicles. This will be accomplished through the demolition of an existing house within the project area.
As a Complete Streets project, the scope of services incorporates an effective public engagement process and will also provide pedestrian and bicycle accommodation. The project will also involve coordination with BSC’s ecological group to address issues associated with the project’s location within the 100-foot buffer zone, 100-year floodplain, and the 200-foot riverfront area.
