Within the City of Everett, BSC Group continues to provide planning and engineering services, positioning the Everett community for economic growth via both private and public investment. In fact, the City has again selected BSC to prepare an Urban Renewal Plan (URP) to facilitate revitalization–this time for their Commercial Triangle Area. The 110-acre Commercial Triangle Area is situated between the Revere Beach Parkway, MBTA commuter rail tracks, and Chelsea city line, and is hindered with environmental concerns, fragmented ownership, rundown properties, deteriorated infrastructure, traffic/transportation limitations, and current zoning. The purpose of this URP is to integrate economic development, land use and transportation planning, priming the area for potential mixed-use redevelopment. BSC will lead this effort with assistance from ConsultEcon, a Cambridge-based economic development, urban revitalization firm.
