BSC is part of the GEI Consultants team that is working for client Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation to provide reconstruction of the approximately 130-year-old, 1,500-foot long dam that forms Ashmere Lake in Hinsdale, MA. BSC’s services include wetland and riverfront area analysis and mitigation design; construction support; and permitting through Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, MEPA, the Army Corps of Engineers, and the Hinsdale Conservation Commission. Approximately 1.3 acres of wetlands will be filled, potentially triggering the need for a Wetlands Protection Act Variance, and stream flows will be relocated to a former channel.
