BSC Group is pleased to welcome Anna Loss, a Certified Soil Scientist (CSS), as a Project Manager on our Ecological Science team.
Anna has over 13 years of experience contributing to energy and infrastructure projects in Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York. She navigates the path between infrastructure needs and environmental responsibility through natural resource permitting and regulatory compliance.
Her expertise spans natural resource due diligence, wetland delineations and field surveys, permit procurement, and post-permit issuance compliance and mitigation strategies. She guides project teams in navigating project planning and design phases through environmental restraints and requirements.
Notable experience includes working with state transportation agencies such as Connecticut Department of Transportation, as well as private commercial, industrial, and utility clients on a range of solar, battery storage, natural gas, and nuclear projects. She is also an active volunteer and voting member of her town’s inland wetlands and watercourses agency.

Anna holds a bachelor's degree in Environmental Earth Science, Geographic Information Systems, and Sustainable Energy from Eastern Connecticut State University. She received her Certified Soil Scientist certificate in 2025 and is pursuing additional certifications in wetlands, floodplain management, soil erosion, and sediment control.
Outside of work, Anna enjoys cooking new recipes with cast iron skillets, both in the kitchen and over a firepit outside. She appreciates slowing down and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
