BSC Group was recently selected by the Town of Shrewsbury to develop a master plan for improvements to four park facilities in town. BSC’s team will be providing cost estimates for capital improvement projects, addressing accessibility concerns, and prioritizing design improvements for the existing facilities. Addressing accessibility issues for these park systems will be a key focus for this project – a frequent challenge that many recreational and budgetary departments face today in ensuring facilities are designed for all users.
This project enhances the Worcester offices’ portfolio in park master planning and design experience, maintaining BSC’s strong park and recreational design presence in central Massachusetts. Additional recent wins in central Massachusetts include master planning for tennis court facilities in the Town of Boylston and the design of a new large playground complex for South Worcester Park, a project in the City of Worcester, for which BSC provided grant application assistance.
