Canton Airport Project Featured in Landscape Architecture Magazine

The reuse of the former Canton Airport as the new Farnham-Connolly park represents an exciting achievement in both environmental science and landscape design. In collaboration with landscape architects Crosby Schlessinger Smallridge (CSS) and client Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, BSC Group worked to restore the fragile ecology of the park, which sits adjacent to the Neponset River. Opened in 2014, the wetlands restoration efforts have proven to be successful, with a variety of plants and trees creating habitat to attract a diverse array of birds, mammals, and amphibians. The park is featured in Landscape Architecture Magazine: The Magazine of the American Society of Landscape Architects and was also recognized with a Boston Society of Landscape Architects Award of Excellence.
