Gillian Davies,PWS, SSSSNE, NHCWS, CESSWI, a Senior Wetland/Soil Scientist at BSC Group, will present, “Climate Change and Wetlands: Impacts, Carbon Mitigation, and Adaptation” to the Boston Bar Association’s Continuing Legal Education meeting on February 11th. Ms. Davies joins a panel of experts including professionals from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, The Environmental League of Massachusetts, and NAIOP Massachusetts, who will shed light on climate change and resiliency. Legal professionals can expect to learn how to advise municipal clients to revise regulations and planning policies, and how to advise developers to design projects to address the challenges of climate change. Panelists will discuss municipal planning and development policies for local, state and federal permitting procedures as well as the implications of Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs’ (MEPA) proposed climate change policy.
