Official Groundbreaking for Blackstone Gateway Park

Casey-Lee Bastien attended the official groundbreaking ceremony for Worcester’s Blackstone Gateway Park last Thursday. After many years of planning and funding, the park is expected to be completed in May 2018 at a cost of approximately $4 million. The park will feature over 3,000 linear feet of walking paths, elevated boardwalks and three bridges crossing the Middle River. The park will be located in close proximity to the Blackstone Heritage Corridor Visitor Center, Blackstone River Bikeway, the College of the Holy Cross and Quinsigamond Village.
