BSC Group received two honors at the 2026 ACEC/MA Engineering Excellence and Awards Gala, held on April 14, 2026, at the Renaissance Boston Seaport District.
BSC earned a Bronze Award for the Miyawaki Forest Project and a Silver Award for the DCR Neponset Greenway Project, recognizing two initiatives that advance climate resilience, community connectivity, and environmental stewardship in Massachusetts.
The DCR Neponset Greenway Project closed a critical gap in the regional trail network, improving pedestrian and bicycle access along Boston’s waterfront. By enhancing connectivity and safety in a constrained coastal corridor, the project created a stronger link between neighborhoods, public open space, and Boston Harbor.

The Miyawaki Forest Project in Worcester transformed urban sites in Environmental Justice neighborhoods into dense native forests designed to reduce heat island effects, improve air quality, increase biodiversity, and deliver long-term community benefits. The project reflects a practical, scalable approach to urban greening and climate adaptation.
